"Earlier, debugging meant hopping between logs, workflows, and infra dashboards trying to piece together what went wrong. DrDroid pulls the context together and points us in the right direction. Even someone new to the system can figure things out without needing a deep dive from the original author."
— Rahul Bhattacharya, Co-founder & CTO
Adopt.ai is a platform that empowers SaaS applications and enterprises with agentic AI experiences. Their engineering team is nimble, fast-moving, and customer-oriented. But as they scaled, debugging became a bottleneck that slowed everyone down.
01Context
The engineering team at AdoptAI was used to jumping onto any customer ticket or alert. Initially fine, it soon became critical to make on-call debugging faster and reduce MTTR.
Product team blocked
Their product and customer-facing team members would be blocked, and availability of engineers became the rate-determining step in responding to customers.
Multi-system complexity
Given that Adopt runs long-lived workflows, async jobs and multi-service executions, failures are never obvious from a single log. Debugging required knowledge of multiple codebases, log analysis, and feature context. New engineers took a while to get up to speed, pulling in senior engineers repeatedly.
02The Vision
Enable everyone in the team to debug issues to the quality that only senior engineers could achieve otherwise. This unblocking helps the team move faster, empowers everyone, and removes dependency on tribal knowledge.
03Trying DrDroid
The Adopt team was thinking about automating the debugging process. When they evaluated DrDroid, their criteria were simple.
Deep stack integration
VictoriaLogs, TrueFoundry, Sentry, Grafana, NewRelic: all the tools they actually use.
Custom skills
A lot of their investigations were domain-specific to AI agents and customer use-cases. They needed a platform that could learn and adopt their processes.
RBAC
They wanted fine-grained permissions at tool, integration, and user level.
Security
Working with enterprises, data security and privacy mattered. They needed a platform with strong security guarantees.
04 What Adopt Team Achieved
1-click resolution from Slack
Customer errors investigated with one click from Slack. No engineering handoff required.
Non-engineers debug independently
Their product lead can deep-dive into production issues, do early investigations, and chat with DrDroid to understand problems without requiring engineer assistance.
Engineers stay in flow
Their engineers are able to continue working on feature development while DrDroid manages debugging on the side.
"Earlier, debugging meant hopping between logs, workflows, and infra dashboards trying to piece together what went wrong. DrDroid pulls the context together and points us in the right direction. Even someone new to the system can figure things out without needing a deep dive from the original author."
"Using DrDroid, our FDEs now triage and root-cause customer issues directly from our PagerDuty Slack channel. What previously took hours of log analysis is now resolved in minutes, significantly accelerating incident response and reducing MTTR."
"When a Slack alert fires, it's just one click to get a full RCA with clear next steps. DrDroid has freed me up to focus on building, and now even our FDEs and product team can debug issues and guide customers on calls without waiting on engineering."
